I believe in the importance of connecting my students with community partners for service learning opportunities. These relationships allow students to create professional content for real organizations. I have enjoyed working with our community Partner, Rescue Dog Games, an organization whose mission creates awareness for rescue dogs and “adopt, don’t shop.” My students have written feature articles, digital stories, and curated content for the group. Each year they attend the annual event and curate content and tell engaging stories.
